Brought Me Back To Golf

My story is simple and not to crazy but it was still awesome and one of the best golf moments I have ever had. I started golf around the age of ten and now I just turned twenty seven years old so I have been golfing for a long time now. Well last year was finally the year I got my first and only hole in one. I started at first playing in a youth league and also playing with my long time best friend any chance we got. We played at this local golf course that isn't the nicest course in the world but will probably always be my favorite course because of sentimental reasons. Then we both eventually made it to high school and played on the school team as the number one and two guys on the team and we even both made it to our highschool state tournament. During high school that same local course that I love was our home course and even my best friend got his first and only hole in one as me and him were in a match with another high school in our area. After high school we both ended up going to the same college and I played for a couple years but pretty much stopped playing after that for a few years because the price of golf was becoming to expensive for me to play while I was trying to graduate college. My best friend stuck with it though and we still hungout all the time. Once we graduated college I got a really good job in the town I grew up in and my best friend moved away. While working at my new job there were some guy that I work with that were going golfing after work and asked me if I wanted to go because they knew I use to golf all the time. I told them I would go with them but I'm not sure how good I was going to play because at the time I haven't played in forever. We ended up going to the same course that I was saying earlier will always be my favorite course. So we're out there playing and I am actually playing crazy good for how long it's been since I even swung a club. Well we get to the first par three on the course, hole five, which wasn't long but probably played about one hundred and forty yards and sat between two lakes. As were walking to the tee box my coworker that I was golfing with looked at me and said that he would like to get close to a hole one just one time not even a hole in one just close and I told him that I have played a lot of golf and I have never got one either. Well I get up there and have two clubs in my hand not knowing what my distances are because of not playing and end up selecting my club and throwing the other one down. I go up hit this shot that was high and beautiful but I thought was going to be lone. Sure enough that ball hit about eight feet past the hole and spun all the way back right into it. The guys I was playing with went insane and I kind of didn't know how to react but I was really happy. So now I got my first and only hole in one and am back to playing golf every chance I get. If it wasn't for that and those guys asking me to go with them I might still have not gotten back into the game I love and sometimes hate. Well the reason I mentioned my best friend so much was because he recently passed away this year and I was pretty upset about it. I got back into golf and did not get to play a round with him since then but I am glad we grew up playing together and I witnessed his only hole in one. Now that he is gone it's making me take the game even more serious and every time I play I think of him and all the great times we had playing together. I know this wasn't the greatest story but it is my hole in one story and I wouldn't trade it with anyone else's.
