Ive played this course since my high school days (10 years ago) and this is my first ever hole in one. Not only was it special because it was my first but because the course was shutting down in three weeks because of our economy in the area. The course was formally Bassett Country Club and had been a staple in the community for at least 60 years but due to the economy in our area, multiple golf courses just can't be supported. I played all of my home golf matches at this course and pretty much lived on it for 4 years of my life. Hole number 8 is where it happened(9 hole course by the way.) My junior year of high school we had just won the district and we all decided to sprint down number 9 and jump into the pond on number 8 and swim across. I've never swam so fast in my life and came out looking like a ninja turtle. So needless to say this little 170 yard par 3 will hold a lot of memories for the rest of my life.
