We where playing the Annual NC Rural Water Association Tournament and got to our last hole. It was a par 3 162 yards playing in the back of the green slightly uphill. Our first player got on the green while the next two lost their balls in the water. Being a lefty I thought if I cut a ball into the hole I could get it closer to the hole. I teed up a Titleist DT SoLo and took a solid swing. The ball went straight instead of fading and hit right between the green and the sand trap on the right side. I yelled "kick" and the ball kicked left toward the hole. Once it got to the flag it disappeared! I said "Oh my God I can't believe it"! It was in the hole for an Ace! I quickly bought a round of drinks on me at the bar and closed the tab before the rest of the tournament players realized what had happened. I hope every golfer gets to have that feeling of a hole in one! I can't imagine what could feel better!
