I live in the Dallas area and was giving the offer to play a couple of rounds at East Lake in Atlanta. On the 15-1/2 hole (9 had some green damage and this hole was created to be a replacement hole when needed) from the Blue tee’s at 137 yards, slight breeze from behind, I took a choked down 9 iron and one hopped it in the hole. It was a surreal feeling as our foursome and the two caddies all saw it disappear. This was so awesome to have my 1st ace at a place where legends have walked and to top it off it was my 52nd birthday. It will be around I’ll never forget. Also shot a nice 74 to go with it. The experience at East Lake is an experience in itself, our caddies Chris and Evan were awesome and very good company. I was hoping to do it again on the next day, funny thing was, I didn’t but my shot landed about a foot away from Friday’s pin! A June 8th that will really never be forgotten.
