Bachelor Party Hole in One
By Scott A On 22 February 2017
Back in 2013 I was on my soon to be brother in-law's bachelor party. We went to Grand Traverse Resort in Michigan and played golf two days. On the second day we played a four man scramble at a course called The Wolverine. On the fifth hole, a par 3 that plays 190 yards our team steps up to the tee box. Our first guy hits and is about 20 feet left of the pin. I step up and hit and it is directly at the flag stick. We can't see it when it lands because there is cat tails blocking our view because the hole is all carry over these cat tails until you get to the green. The next two guys hit and they are both great shots. We drive up to the green and only see 3 balls on the green. I instantly think I hit mine long and it is in the bunker behind the green. I go and look and there is no ball in there. The third and fourth players in our group were both inside of ten feet of the hole so we figured we had a good shot at a birdie. I tell the guys that I can't find my ball. The one guy says he thought he heard it hit the cup when we were back on the tee box. We all laugh and tell him he is stupid because we were blaring music so there is no way he could have heard that. I go and look just for fun and there is my ball, at he bottom of the cup! I turn and chuck my putter as far as I can and start running around screaming my head off. We all start yelling and celebrating. We get to the next hole and one of our groups is waiting on the tee box. As we drive up they said they heard the cheers and said good birdie. We then explained to them it was a hole in one and the news began to spread to the other groups via text and the beverage cart girl. It was a great story for the bachelor party!
