Albatross or Double Eagle

This isn't a hole in one (I have had 5) but I have never had an Albatross! Hole #17 at Herndon Centennial in Herndon, VA .... fairly short par 5 of 485 yards but you still have to put the ball in the fairway. I have been on it in two many times before but this day I really nutted a tee shot and only had 190 left to the green. The pin was in a nice location in the front portion of the green so I hit a nice easy 5 iron .... watched as my Pro V1 soared on a nice boring trajectory and it never left the flag ... took one bounce and it disappeared! The guys playing with me were wondering why I threw the club into the air and jumped up and down since they were elderly and couldn't see the green let alone the ball go into the hole! LOL I said "Albatross! It went into the hole!" They said "Nah, no way your just really close." Sure enough . . . I ran all the way to the green before they even got to their 3rd shots (or 4th, 5th, etc.) in the fairway and pulled the ball out of the hole and held it up to them. Good thing it was the 17th hole because I was done . . . so excited that I could barely finish. Ironically, that is the same distance (485 yards) of the miracle shot by Gene Sarazen at the Masters on #15 at Augusta. He should have been using a balata Titleist!

Thank you Titleist for making my golfing experience very memorable. I will never play another ball again! Titleist truly is the #1 Ball in Golf!!
