After 40 years, I finally saw a hole in one! And it was mine!

Playing with my regular Saturday morning group at Bentwater Golf Course in Acworth, Georgia, I was having a mediocre day. That is, until we got to number 11, a short par 3 with a sand trap in front and lots of room to miss the green. Having just finished a beer, I stepped into the woods beside the tee box for a restroom break while the other guys hit. When I stepped up to tee box with my png G15 U wedge in hand and placed my yellow Titleist NXT on the peg. My practice swing felt good so I stepped up and lined up my shot. The ball felt good coming off the club face and was high and directly at the pin. It dropped on the green 10 feet or so in front of the hole, took a couple hops and started to roll. Then it just disappeared! The rest of the guys were sitting in the carts and broke out in yells. I then realized what had happened and was in a state of shock having never even seen an ace except on TV but I did turn toward them and say, "Isn't that what you are supposed to do?"
