Finally after 35 years of playing golf I achieved what I thought was the unattainable...a hole in one. It happened on a very rare 80 degree day in April in Woodburn, Oregon at the OGA Golf Course. It was the 6th hole, a flat 135 yard par 3 (white tees) with large bunkers on the left and another bunker behind on the right. I used a Sling Shot 4D 8 iron into the wind straight at it that hit about 6 yards onto the green and rolled another 8 yards into the hole. My wife and I couldn't see exactly where the ball ended up, but the 3 guys on the next tee box came running out and jumping around so we knew something had happened but weren't really sure until we drove up to the green and she found my ball in the cup.
