At Argyle CC's Spring Member-Guest Tournament I entered a foursome. One of my guests landed his ball closest to the pin on hole #5, a 147-yard par 3. He was within 2-feet of the hole. As I tee'd up, I talked the usual trash: "No sweat getting inside of that huge gap!" With a G-15 6-iron I took a 3/4 backswing, and hit sweet-spot to send the Pinnacle-Gold a foot ahead of the pin - the ball took one hop, hit the pin and clapped into the cup. ACE when it counted! My buddy and I had to argue about definition of "closest to the hole" - since "closest" can exclude "inside".
