ACE -- Another LUCKY Shot!
By DAB4par On 27 August 2015
No matter how much golf you play, your Hdcp, the course conditions, the ball or clubs you use (although Titleist product may give you the confidence to perform better), the length of the hole (par 3 or 4), the weather conditions ---no matter what ----an ACE is still a very LUCKY shot in golf. Any hole-out from off the green has some skill involved, but whatever the case, it's still a memorable experience. With that being said, I got Lucky again. I recorded my 4th career ACE on the short 120yrd #5hole at Manakiki Golf Course (which is a fabulous Donald Ross design part of Cleveland MetroParks System). Ross courses are noted for their table-top greens of undulating character, and Manakiki is no exception. Eventhough I didn't see the ball disappear into the cup, I was pleased to hit a good wedge shot ............and even more excited when I knew I didn't have to putt (cause you don't wanna see my shakey stroke). I followed up my ACE on #5 with a double bogey on the next par3 #7, but still salvaged a pretty good round with a solid back9. All that, followed by a round (or 3) of drinks, and it was a good day --Saturday Aug22 @ Manakiki in Cleveland, OH.
