July 12, 2016 during a hotly contested four ball match, I hit a tee shot to the tough par 3 #6 at Creekside Golf Club in Salem, Oregon. I turned to my partner and said "That should be pretty good." Indeed it was: two hops and in the cup for my fourth hole in one - second on that hole - in 37 years of playing. Both aces on #6 were with a Titlist ProV1x. Looking around at the players in my club who are way better than me but who haven't had a hole in one, I am more convinced that it takes a good shot and a lot of luck. Maybe that's why it's so much fun!
