A Pleasant Surprise.

It was the second day of the Club Championship and I was playing in the senior category. It was the second hole playing about 173 yards to a narrow green with a bowl design. I hit my 5 iron with a slight fade and the ball hit the left slope and rolled toward the hole. My playing partners, Mike Harmer and Matt Moran, good golfers and fine gentlemen who I had just met that day, both yelled that it rolled in the hole. I was trying not to get too excited because I thought the ball might have rested behind the flagstick and not gone in the hole. As we approached the green there was no ball on the surface and sure enough it was in the bottom of the cup. It was good sharing the moment with such fine playing partners. I was able to stay composed for the rest of the round and had a good score. Thank you Titleist for making such a fine golf ball.
