A 36 handicap gets one!

I have been playing golf for over 50 years, never better than a 30+ handicap. On January 4, 2016, while playing the 8th hole at Islandside Course at Longboat Key Resort, Florida, 143 yards, I lofted a Titleist Pro vix to the front of the green. The cup was about 15 feet in, center of the green, and the ball rolled straight towards it. My wife, a better golfer than I, said, "Did that just go in?" It sure looked like it to me; then she hit her tee shot on to the green, but it appeared to go off the back of the green. We drove to the hole and saw a ball about 20 feet behind the flag, but it could have been hidden by the stick. I checked the ball and she walked to the cup. The ball I saw was hers and she said, "Yup, it's in!" What is the line about a blind squirrel? We texted our friends and family and had only two negative responses, from family who have been multiple club champions but never had a hole in one. A great day!
