Was playing in a shotgun start for our monthly mens club tournament. Started the day on #6 at Nicklaus Club Monterey. I was not playing that well and by the time we had gotten through our first 9 holes (#15) I was seven over. Get up to #16 a par 3 132 yards uphill with a giant pot bunker right in front of the pin. Decided to go with a smooth easy Pitching Wedge. Probably the best feeling shot I hit all day just a little right of the pin. Once it came down we couldn't see the green. We get up to the green and there was three balls on the green, Im thinking "Great flew the green now I'm in the hazard behind the green just my day today" start looking around for my ball and one of the guys asked if I checked the hole. I laughed! Sure enough he walks up to the hole throws his hands and putter in the air and I ran over and there it was My Pro V1x #4 with 1 red dot in the bottom of the cup for my first hole in one. Found my ball mark 15 ft away, spun it down a hill into the hole. Finished my round with three more birdies to finish two over and win the tournament!
