45 Years in the Making
By Michael J On 24 August 2017
I've come close quite a few time but never made one. It was a beautiful day in Pleasanton CA, sunny, in the mid eighties. My buddy called me and asked if I wanted to get out and play a round. I wasn't sure about playing since I was getting ready for a two week road trip vacation with my son, but he was able to get a great rate on the round, and talked me into it. I was having a great time with more good holes than bad when we came to the 16th hole, a 175 yard hole with water and OB to the left and a creek to the right. I had been struggling with my 5 iron so that distance left me with a sizable hole in my bag. I took out the new 5 hybrid my son James had just bought me for father's day and hit a beautiful shot and watched it roll toward the hole, then disappear. We were jumping up and down on the tee box like little kids. I was stunned!!! The group in front of us heard the commotion and congratulated me as well. I finished the round in a daze. Thanks to Titleist and their ProV1 balls. They have a great feel and fly true. Another thing, my father got his first hole in one a year ago last November, on the same hole from the senior tees, (155 yards), using a ProV1 we had got him for his 76th birthday. Thank, Michael Jones
