40 years - Zero hole in ones - 2017 - 2 hole in ones

I had my first on a warm day in May, but the second came this morning on blustery, cold day in late December. I got to the tee with the wrong club for me. I had an 8 iron and I'd usually use a 7 iron for 145+ yards, but it was cold and windy and I was too lazy to go back to the cart. I figured I could hit the 8 a little lower and try to run it up to the hole. The sky made it difficult to see the ball, and since it was over water and none of our threesome saw it, all we knew for sure was that there was no splash, so it must be dry on the green side of the pond. I thought it must have been lower and long, so I parked my cart behind the green and looked there. We could see there was only one ball on the green (a yellow one). Finally a playing partner looked in the hole and told me "NO NEED TO KEEP LOOKING, IT'S RIGHT HERE IN THE HOLE! I've played golf for over 40 years, and had my first hole in one in May of this year ... now my second came with a Pro V1 that was a Christmas present the day before. 2017 has been a good year for my golf!
