36 Years in the Making

I've told people for years I will never have a hole in one, after playing 36+ years and being so close so many times, I felt I was just never going to get one. In fact, on this day, the first two par 3s I choked on both, making double for each. So when I got to 11, I just wanted a good swing...145 yards with a 9i. I almost missed it as I knew I hit it well, so as golfers do, I started humble bragging by picking up my tee. For some reason, I kept watching and the ball took one hop and rolled about 3 feet and right in the cup. My playing partners said later it had been a while since they had seen someone so happy. I couldn't believe it...I was shaking. And then promptly made a triple on the following hole, but settled down and shot 79 with 2 doubles, 1 triple, and the shot I will remember forever. By the way, I had found that ProV1 the day before, while looking for the one I lost! It's scuffed and dirty, but it is beautiful to me, now. Chastain Park, Hole 11, 145yds 9i
