The only other hole-in-one I have witnessed was the one my father got on June 21, 1987. We were playing on Father's Day. Today, I walked up to the tee box with a heavy wind at my back on the 13th hole at Harborside International's Port Course in Chicago. I hit a beautiful PW right on line. It floated down to the hole and I watched the Pro V1 land a few feet past and recoil softly backwards. There is an element of surprise, maybe disbelief, when the ball disappears into the cup. But it is a sight I will see in my minds eye for many years to come.
