I made 2 hole in ones this season, one a little more conventional than others. My first one was a 7 Iron from 187 downhill on #3 at Blackhawk in Edmonton Alberta. My second was on #8 at Camrose GCC in Camrose Alberta. It was an extremely windy day and my golf team and I were just messing around. My first teammate hits his driver on a 148 yard hole and hits it to about 5 feet, I step up with driver and hit the "high cut" which landed on the fringe, rolled towards the pin, hit it and dropped.
