1st Round of Golf = 1st Hole in One!

Yesterday I played my first round of golf with my father. We were celebrating my dad's birthday at a course right near our home. I was a player on my high school golf team but only joined last year. This year's high school season was just getting started, so my dad suggested we play at the local course to get ready for the new season. Even though I was on my high school golf team, I had only played a couple of holes of golf during practice. I had never played a full round. As soon as we arrived, my dad was teaching me all the rules and etiquette of being on the course. We got to the 7th hole and I teed off. I knew I hit a good shot because it was heading towards the flag. My dad said that it sounded like a solid hit. Because of the sand trap on the 7th hole, we didn't have a clear view of the green and the green was elevated from the tees, so we weren't quite sure where my ball had landed. When we got to the green, we could see my dad's ball but we couldn't see my ball. We looked around for several minutes and my dad finally told me that sometimes the ball gets lost and you have to take a drop. Then it occurred to me to look in the cup to see if by some chance the ball was there. To my amazement it was!
