1st Hole in One - Brookhaven, MS

On 6/17/2016, I switched to the ProV1x, and I shot my personal best round. Knowing how the golf gods operate, I wanted to play the following day to get "my worst round ever" out of the way. Some friends and I decided to play the neighboring course the following morning and I was expecting the worst. Well, I birdied the first and won the hole. I was first to tee off on the second hole. It was a short Par 3 and playing about 127 out. The green is built up, so anything on the edges falls way off the green. I pulled out my 9 iron and hoped for the best. As soon as I made contact, I knew it was going to be good. The ball dropped directly in front of the pin, bounce twice, and disappeared. I shouted, "I HIT A HOLE IN ONE!" Two of the guys were still piddling in their cart and were in disbelieve. They claimed that the ball had to have fallen off the backside of the green. My other friend said, "No, that ball hit the pin and disappeared." I have never been so nervous, yet confident in my life. I knew the ball was at the bottom of the cup, but things like this don't happen to me. Did I see what I thought I saw, or are the two guys (that weren't even watching) correct and I just didn't see it bounce off the green... They had created a little doubt in my mind. As I walked from the cart to look at the bottom of the cup, my pulse could be felt in my fingers and toes. I looked down and felt pure bliss. There she was... my Titleist ProV1x... Number 4. I proceeded to finish the 9 at 34, and I finished the day shooting a 77. Both were personal best. It is a day I will never forget, and I will be forever loyal to the ProV1 X.
