1st hole in one after 40 years
By JPloeger On 4 August 2016
First hole in one on Friday July 29th. A beautiful evening in central Minnesota, 75*, no wind, low bug level, low humidity...Hole # 8 at Territory Golf Club in St. Cloud. 223 yards to a middle pin, I normally play yellow srxn or bridgestones but pulled out and hit a titleist pro v1 with my 5 wood. Ball flight was a slight fade left of pin, which is my normal shot into this hole that I have played several hundreds of times over the last 15 years. I watched it bounce twice towards the pin, reached down picked up my tee and drove to the green. I expected my ball to be on the green just left of the pin but it was not in sight. I looked to the ruff on left side of green and no ball. I walked towards the hole and was shocked to find my ball, the pro v1 in the cup. I was all smiles and could not believe that I finally got one after over 40 years of playing and lots of nearies...think I may be playing more pro v's in the future and hope Titleist comes out with a yellow pro v soon!
