started the day on a shotgun start. we started on hole 5 and I made the comment that it would be fun to end on a par 3 today. however I did not realize that on that par 3 I would achieve one of the proudest moments in my short golf career. 174yd par 3. slightly elevated green. the three other players hit their shots. none seeking the flag and a couple short of the green. lined up on the flag with a 4 iron in hand. slow and smooth is all I keep telling myself. its up in the air and the line looks good. cant see the cup till you approach the green so I thought that may be a good chance for birdie. we go to my riding partners ball and we can see the green. I tell him "dang I must of blown off the back. I don't see my ball." he kind of laughs and tells me its because its in the hole. I kind of laugh it off and drive on up to the green. he is their by the time I get out and im fiddling around for my putter. when he tells me leave the putter and come get this ball so we can finish. completely freaked out. titleist for life now. thanks for the chance to share.
