New titleist Driver

Can’t wait to see the new titleist driver coming this May. Have the old TSi2 driver, 3 wood and hybrids and very keen to change these out. Hopefully will see some good improvements.

Do any amateur men watch LPGA players to improve their own games?

Some 20 years ago, I signed my wife up for lessons from former LPGA player Jenny Park-Choi. In less than a year of these lessons, my wife's game improved by a lot. I was so impressed that I also took lessons from Jenny. Then I had a lightbulb moment-since the distances of the LPGA players were much closer to my own than a PGA player, wouldn't it make more sense to study the LPGA players on tv? So I did and noticed that a few players could overpower a course with their distance, most of the others had to play a smarter game that focused on precision. I believe watching the LPGA has helped my game.

So, I'm curious. Are there any male golfers on Team Titleist that watch the LPGA to improve their own game and if so, how has doing this improved your playing?

When to get new clubs?

Hey everyone!

I am new to golf, I have only been playing for about 6 months. I currently am playing with a Wilson set for women. My question is, is there a right time to get fitted for clubs? I know it is going to cost a lot so I am not looking forward to that part. Should I wait till I have a lower handicap?

Would appreciate any advice because it is a big financial commitment.

I was a casual golfer that is starting to take the game more seriously. I got fit into some Titleist clubs and am ecstatic with the fitting experience with Justin Long at Windmill Lakes Golf Club in Ohio. Fitting was in late June and already have the clubs. Thank you Titleist for the quick turn around on the clubs so I can begin working on my game! I love them already and am looking forward to using them for years to come!

Trying to work out which ball to use. Usually play Pro V1 as like the softer feel but probably should be playing pro v1x for the higher flight. Find the old Pro V1x quite hard. Haven’t tried to new ones as yet. Any thoughts?

Founders Cup

I was fortunate to be involved in the Pro-Am for this week’s LPGA tournament in Bradenton FL. We got to play the front 9 with Lexi Thompson and the back 9 with Charley Hull. Lexi (and her caddie, her brother Curtis) were awesome, super friendly, engaging, and talkative. Charley was super nice as well, but it was her first chance at playing the back nine this week, so she was a tad focused on her game. She did interact with us plenty, and her caddie and coach were super nice as well. Awesome experience

I attended the recent TT women’s short game clinic at Pinehurst. The experience was great!! If you are on the fence about an event for any reason, don’t be! Do it! Your game is good enough, no matter your level and there is fun to be had!!! Just go for it!!!

Team Titleist 2024 Women's Event, Pinehurst, NC

The latest Team Titleist women's event was held at the Pinehurst #2 property. There was a jam packed agenda hosted by the Team Titleist, TPI, Vokey custom fitting, and Pinehurst staff. In the morning we had a swing clinic, Vokey custom "wedgeucation", and TPI class on how to warm up properly, a round at The Cradle short course, putting contest at 18 hole Thistle Dhu. TT also arranged a fantastic day of catering along with world class TT swag (pictures to be posted).

We had a range of skillsets attending including a few beginners, retirees, and a recently graduated collegiate player. The whole day was full of fun and most people exchanged contact information so that we could play later in the year. The setting was fantastic and the staffers were so talented, it was a great environment to play golf and learn a few tricks.

A big shout out to Lisa who kept the day's activities running along smoothly and went the extra mile to award an attendee who got her first hole in one with some extra Titleist goodies.

This was truly a memorable experience even without the raffle and contest prizes which were outstanding. 3 Scotty Cameron putters / a custom set of Titleist irons / a custom set of Vokey wedges / and a year's supply of your favorite Titleist golf balls.

NCAA D1 Regionals

I went to Bermuda Run CC yesterday to watch the first round of regionals. We had a young lady that played at our club through high school sign with Wake Forest, so several of us followed her. There was no cost to attend, and the golf was outstanding. I highly recommend going if you can.

My daughter played some golf as a young lady (10-12) but hasn't played in several years. Now that she's started her career in business, she wants to learn to play again. The question I have is where to start for clubs for her since she doesn't have the money to do a full fitting right now. I'd love to get some guidance here if anyone has advice!

Women’s club length

For players that are 5’6” or shorter - which includes many LPGA players, I see many on the LPGA playing clubs with substantial choking down on the grip. Brooke Henderson had used a 48” long driver shaft but chocked down several inches. Driver length is now limited to 46”.

Would this be from being used to buying off the rack clubs that are geared to taller players or is this a definitive choice to have an effect similar to a counter balanced shaft? On full shots, I prefer gripping the club at the top of the shaft. Just me.

I guess nobody wants to bring this up being that she's no longer a Titleist staffer, but Nelly Korda is on fire! Four wins in a row to tie Lorena Ochoa and going for five in two weeks to tie Nancy Lopez and Annika Sorenstam. Regardless of what equipment she plays, you have to give her props for the kind of golf Nelly Korda is playing.
