I played Tobacco Road!

    Wow, This was a bucket list for me. Rustic and beautiful track. Almost like greens were dropped in a wasteland. I did not post a score I was proud of but I couldn't wipe the smile off my face! And thats all I could ask for.

    I highly recommend, I did not take too many pictures as I was just in the moment but here are a couple my brother in law took!

    I was stationed in NC not far from Tobacco Road/Pinehurst and had the chance to play there a few times, it's a awesome course! Glad you had a blast playing there, that is what it's all about having fun and enjoying the game!

    I love Tobacco Road and play it whenever I am lucky enough to be in the Pinehurst area. I've not played a Mike Strantz designed course I didn't like.

    Living in Western NC I've had the chance to play there a lot and love the course. No trip to the sandhills would be complete for me without laying Tobacco Road. Visually intimidating, however a place you can post a good score if you position your ball in the proper areas. Always enjoyed the BBQ sandwich at the turn.

    I've played Tobacco Road 3 times with our local buddy trip to Pinehurst. It certainly is a unique golf course. Some guys loved it and others said they would not go back to play it again. Personally I enjoyed the challenge of playing such a difficult course. If you play there make sure someone has a range finder.

    Yeah a range finder will help except on the holes you have to aim at the old smoke stack stuck in the ground LOL.

    Have played it a couple times now and want to go back soon. Agree it is a very interesting course.
