  1. I bought a bag off the marketplace that has the tag on it. The guy said Titleist gave it to him for a hole in one. Idk how true that is though

Anyone can get one of these for getting a hole-in-one, but it's different from the TT tag. IMHO, the Hole-In-One tag is much nicer, as it should be.

Hopefully I can earn one some day.

Sorry to post here, but I'm new to the forums. I submitted a new thread last night that still hasn't been posted, but comments are going through. Does it normally take over a day to have a new thread reviewed by a mod?
  6. Yes. It may take longer.

I have been a TT member for years. Just made the jump with the T100s, so my bag is now brand new Titleist top to bottom with a staff stand bag arriving tomorrow. Feels great!
  8. As a new golfer, your bag is what I strive to have one day! The TT towel is rad.

Keep posting and make sure that you profile is 100%. With all the requests I am sure that their supply runs short at times.

I am retired and my funds are limited like some on the site. I choose the TT events that are close to me that I can drive to and I work part time to pay for these events and not have to use my retirement and social security. Seem to be able to make it work. When you look at the packages (hotel, meals, rounds of golf, swag), well worth the costs and it balances out. Have been able to go to Pinehurst and Jacksonville for regular TT invitationals. Also was able to attend the Vokey experience at Pinehurst. Getting to meet other TT members is awesome. With respect and one opinion.

Although I've never been to a TT event I'm assuming, depending on venue, the TT events can get expensive, with travel, accommodations etc.As someone of modest means and limited income, the chance of me attending one is quite small.
I'm hoping Titleist remains arbitrary when doling out coveted TT merchandise, and not using attendance at TT events as the sole determining factor in who gets what.

Titleist goes not have any bias into our income or any other factor for random mail outs. That said, the chances are a lot better of getting TT items if you attend events. The bigger the event, the larger the TT giveaway will be. Titleist tries to support some local golf outing across the country. They do not organize them, they must be arranged by a TT member like ourselves but Titleist will try to provide a small token of welcome gifts for players. If you can’t play in any events, make sure you do the occasional sweepstakes to increase your odds but understand that sweepstakes and other random giveaways are hard to win based on the large population of eligible TT members. Good luck and thanks for your active feedback on the forum. Hoping someday you can make an event because the giveaways are nice but the real gift is getting to know TT members in person and making lasting friendships with these people we talk with on-line every day.

Thanks for your reply Dale, and the kind words. I enjoy reading your posts, along with Chuck Z. Doug E, and other frequent contributors. I haven't been a member very long, but I am quite active on this site (thanks for noticing). My reasons for my comment regarding TT giveaways was twofold.

First, I'm aware of the gratuitous nature regarding organized tournament golf.I was a Rotarian for a number of years, and helped run an annual tournament, held at a Donald Ross course North of Boston, the proceeds going toward scholarships for local high school students. We always had a "goody bag" when you signed in.I'm sure the same happens at TT events, as it should. But not everyone can attend, for reasons such as cost, scheduling, logistics etc. I just want to make sure that those folks, myself included, have a shot at some swag, without entering an event.
Secondly there are people on this site who have one or two posts, and are looking for a "freebie". Some of them get lucky, and get a TT package at their door.

I joined this site for the conversation, stimulation and golf commentary and insight from people like myself, you included. Would I like some swag? Sure I would, but it's not my reason for being here.

I just want to make sure the playing field is somewhat level when doing out TT giveaways. Thanks again for responding. Stay safe Dale, as we navigate through this unprecedented pandemic. Better days are coming.

Bag Tags are like your profile pic... Rare! Might consider getting your next Titleist bag embroidered with the TT logo. You get the same effect without worrying about someone taking off with your tag.
