Evening from the uk, my bag is finally sorted but I’m not overly happy with my wedge gapping. I’m going to wait to try the new sm8 wedges when they are released. Is anyone in the know what finishes they will be doing? I’d really love the copper finish like the sm6 that was released.

Any how here’s how the bag looks currently

Hi Sam, nice Titleist set up!

There are a number of posts regarding the SM8 on this forum, I would suggest keeping a close eye on those as that's where the info like finishes, release date etc will be.

I see you're from Saunton.. I have family in Devon and played Saunton East course in the summer - what an experience. Amazing course layout, exceptional greens and is the most challenging course I've played.. so much so I walked away about a dozen balls lighter after exploring the rough!

    thankyou, do love my setup

yes, saunton is my club, so lucky to be a member. both courses are excellent, do prefer the west myself as you need to have some sort of game management and the course is a little tighter, helps me reel in the big hitters

I am also excited about the release of the SM8 wedges. I believe these are the finishes that they will be offering; Tour Chrome, Brushed Steel, Jet Black and Raw.

I'm most excited about the raw finish, as they had that for the SM7, but only if you ordered that from the Vokey site. So I really hope this will be a standard option like some of the previous wedge offerings.

Currently raw is not a finish that is offered. Tour Chrome, Brushed Steel and Jet Black are the current offerings.

Thank you for the correction. I thought I saw somewhere when they were talking about the SM8s and that raw finish would be one of them. Again, I'm sure it will be only on the Vokey site and at an upcharge.

Silly question, why is it that the raw finish is an upcharge to get when it used to be one of the offerings before? Doesn't the raw finish take away a few steps in the manufacturing process to allow it to rust? If so, would that be easier for them to create and less expensive?

Thanks for any insight on that part.
