Thanks Titleist -- the Pro V1x performed beautifully this past weekend for me, helping me record a personal best score on one of our local courses!

This past weekend, we were fortunate enough to have some good weather - weather that had been dry, allowing our local golf courses to dry out from what has been a very wet winter.

With the break in the forecast, a group of us decided to hit the "links" at one of our local courses that is known for some of the best winter playing conditions. The day was beautiful and sunny albeit a tad chilly with temps around 7 - 8 degrees. With the exception of the deciduous trees having no leaves and the odd player wearing a toque, you would think it was April or May as the playing conditions were that good!

Anyway, the course we played at is a 5700 yard course with a Par of 70. It has very quick and tricky greens with plenty of undulations, slopes and false fronts. It also has some narrow fairways and strategic placing of bunkers, ponds, streams and trees help guard the course and greens.

So I was rather pleased with my round as I surprised myself and pulled off a personal best at this course with a round of 72 ... recording 5 - birdies but with a few bogeys and 2 - double bogeys! My Pro V1x performed beautifully, with the exception of two very poor shots (lateral hazards), it provided great ball flight and excellent spin-distance control, allowing me to "hunt some flags" with good results! That's why I trust my game to Titleist!

Congratulations on achieving your personal best !!!!
We all strive to play well, and honestly cannot compare ourselves to others. We must strive for improvement and take pride in when we manage that difficult task in this frustratingly glorious game. Well done !!!! I am glad to hear the ProV1x was a factor in helping you achieve this successful outing. Sorry to hear you had to sacrifice a few of those pearls in search of your score :(

Thanks for the feedback Darius! Your comments are so true about playing to be the best that each of us can be. I've scored better on other courses, but this was a my best score on this particular course.

I don't feel too bad about the poor shots off the tee that landed in lateral hazards -- one of my playing partners is a very proficient "fisherman" and with his ball retriever, he fished out both golf balls! :-)

To be honest about it, I was okay with the penalty strokes & double bogeys - so long as we found my new Pro V1x's! :-).

Hi MJ! It was a terrific day!

Two seasons ago, some TT members got together and organized our own informal TT Outing. Would you be interest MJ? It is a social outing - no competitive scoring or anything like that.

We can try and organize something like that for April of this year. Let me know!

    Awesome Dino! Congrats.
Very jealous at how green it looks there. Here in Ontario we are mix of ice and snow and up and down cold temps. So desperately wish could see a ball fly outside.
Hit a few for us "stuck indoors" unlucky ones :)

Nice that your getting out to play, congrats on the 72. It looks like the Pro V1x is working for both you and Bubba.
