SINGH CAPTURES 84 LUMBER CLASSIC FOR 8TH VICTORY OF YEAR WITH TITLEIST

Wins Third Consecutive Event, Sets Single-Season Earnings Record.

Fairhaven, MA (September 27, 2004) - Titleist Pro V1x loyalist Vijay Singh went wire-to-wire en route to capturing the 84 Lumber Classic by one stroke. It marked the PGA Tour-leading 8th victory of the year for Singh, including three in a row and 5 in his last 6 starts. He shot a final round 3-under par 69 to finish at 15-under 273, recording his 23rd PGA Tour title and his 45th worldwide as a professional. The world's top-ranked player, Singh established a new PGA Tour single-season earnings mark with more than $9.4 million year-to-date. He owns a PGA Tour-leading 15 top-10 finishes in 26 events this year and recorded 18 top-10 finishes in 2003.

The win marks the 31st for Titleist golf ball players through 41 events on the 2004 PGA Tour, nearly 8 times the nearest competitor with 4.

LPGA Tour: Christina Kim relied upon the Titleist Pro V1 golf ball to fire a final round 6-under 65 to win the Longs Drug Challenge for her first career LPGA Tour title. Kim finished at 18-under 266 to win by one stroke. Fellow Pro V1 player Juli Inkster finished in third place, two shots back. The win is the 13th for Titleist players on the 2004 LPGA Tour, more than any other golf ball.

Nationwide Tour: Titleist Pro V1 player Scott Gump captured the Albertsons Boise Open after firing a final round 3-under par 68. Gump finished at 14-under 270, two strokes ahead of two other players, including Pro V1x player Jimmy Walker. Walker was seeking his third victory of the year and the “battlefield” promotion that accompanies it to the PGA Tour. It marked the third career victory on the Nationwide Tour for Gump, and his first in 10 years. Titleist players have accounted for 20 of the 26 wins on the 2004 Nationwide Tour.

Asian Tour: Charlie Wi made 5 birdies in the final round to win the Taiwan Open by 3 strokes under blustery conditions as the result of an approaching typhoon. Wi, who relied upon the Titleist Pro V1 to fire a final round 4-under 68, rallied from two strokes back en route to his 6th career Asian Tour title.

129 Wins and Still Counting: Four more wins this week advanced Titleist's 2004 victory count across the worldwide professional tours to 129, more than four times the nearest competitor with 31.
